Sylvester: "Stars" - the real lyrics
When you Google the lyrics to Sylvester: "Stars," you get the lyrics to The Hollies' "Star." Way to erase queer black voices, internet (unless there's some obscure Sylvester cover of The Hollies song I've never heard). The only page with the complete lyrics is this odd entry from one Neil Disconaut tracing the song's sentiment in Aleister Crowley and Primal Scream (the band). And now this one:

It's not because the internet tries to "erase queer, black voices" (though I'll admit, there's no shortage of biased and prejudiced people out there). It's just because on Genius.com, which is sorta, kinda one of the biggest lyric databases on the entire internet (if not THE biggest), the staff tried to implement a bot - hiding under username "pressburg" - which was supposed to automatically search & find lyrics to specific songs on the web, and copy-paste them to the site. Other lyric databases, I assume, just mindlessly copied these lyrics without checking.
Alas, pressburg turned out to be a case of "good idea, poor execution", for a simple reason: for posting lyrics or song knowledge there, 'IQ points' are awarded, and thus - the bot went berserk, reacting negatively to that stimulus, and simply just doing everything and anything possible to get more IQ. The whole idea of the bot was dropped, with staff and moderators still, to this day, doing cleanup work on the site; like incorrect lyrics, mislabeled or mis-tagged albums, artists etc.
I've been a Genius user and contributor for some time now, so you know, just thought I'd throw my two cents as well. By the way, I updated Sylvester's page and posted missing songs there - and also worked a little on the lyrics in question, which are corrected now, or so I think.
